Pictures taken at Taylor's Valley - just outside of Damascus, Va on a trout fishing outing with friends the week of May 2, 1999

Four old geezers got together for a trout fishing venture and the following pictures are proof that we really were there (and if Hugh gets me his pictures I will show you that indeed we caught trout - he had the "point-&-shoot" camera) We had a great time and a heartfelt thanks goes to the Fritz. Kenny, Sarah and Tony provided the accomodations (a super hunt camp) with all of the ammenties within 5 minutes of three great trout streams in Southwest Virginia just outside of Damascus, Va.

Hugh, Bill and Dave arrived on Friday and fished Saturday and Sunday before I came in on Monday morning. By the time I started fishing the other guys had caught 30+ trout and had already had one big fish-fry. Not to worry here, we only kept what we would eat and the rest were returned to the stream. Monday's catch reached 20 among the four of us. Tuesday was just unbelievable. Can you magine that our combined catch was 52 trout? Yes sir-ree, that was the day that Bill caught 14 in the same hole in about an hour's time - 20 for the day (I didn't think my 11 was too shabby except Hugh pulled in 19). Ok bragging time is over but needless to say it was a great week of fishing.
