A graduate of Radford University and a former teacher, I began pursuing my life-long interest in art by studying watercolors in the early 1980s. Since then my studies have expanded to include apprenticeships with such internationally acclaimed artists as Zoltan Szabo, Frank Webb, Ray Yoder and others. I am a charter member of the Shenandoah Valley Art Center.

My studio is in my home in Lyndhurst (just outside of Waynesboro), which is located in the heart of Virginia's Shenandoah Valley and where I have resided most of my life.

My paintings reflect my enjoyment of the surrounding countryside with its rustic and historic buildings, gristmills and covered bridges. These are the subjects that most often appear in my works. Horse drawn buggies, still commonly used in parts of the Valley, are also frequently featured.

While exhibiting primarily in the local area, my works have been well received in shows outside the Valley. My paintings are in private and corporate collections in many States, Canada, Europe and the Far East.
