December 7, 2002 Welding the passenger floorpans into place. Cool helmet, huh? |

Halfway through. |

Of course, like any project, when you get to the welding part, you're almost done. Getting ready to weld is all the work. This is the back of the driver side framehead, which will be the outside corner on the left side of the passenger compartment. Here, I'm getting ready to weld in a piece to patch a cancerous spot on the framehead, that will ultimately accept the new floorpan. I"ve already patched and ground down a spot to the right of the piece held in place by the vicegrips. |

All finished. I also added a piece to the side. This corner was in bad shape, so hopefully the new pieces have begun to heal the cancer and hold the rust monster at bay at this point. Course, I'll POR-15 to assist! |

The pans are in, having been primed where they were welded. Of course, now they become storage for some tools and stuff as the work progresses. |
