Generator Set Design Features

General: All Generators are manufactured to meet NEMA, IEEE and CSA requirements for continuous duty and standby service. All units have fabricated steel frames with cast iron end brackets and engine adapters. All units are fully guarded for operator protection.

Rotor Assembly: Four (4) pole, single piece rotor core is class H insulated to meet NEMA temperature rise specifications for all prime and standby ratings as published. The main copper field is wet wound, dipped and baked with synthetic non-hygroscopic varnish to protect against harsh environments. The rotor assembly is dynamically balanced to insure a maximum vibration of 2 mils.

Stator: NEMA class H insulating materials are used throughout. All stators receive multiple dips and bakes of synthetic varnish to assure durability and environmental protection.

Exciter: Rotating brushless type exciter with hermetically sealed diodes and three phase, fullwave rectification. PGM standard for SCR or non-standard loading applications.

Bearing: Prelubricated , sealed ball bearings designed for a minimum B-10 life of 100,000 hours.

Voltage Regulator: Solid State encapsulated voltage regulator designed to meet commercial EMI suppression requirements. 1% voltage regulation from no load to full load. Voltage adjust rheostat and stability adjust are included standard.
