Our Beliefs
Here is a brief summary of the truths we believe.
- The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God.
- There is one eternal God who exists in Three Persons (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit).
- God is absolutely sovereign over all things.
- Jesus Christ is the incarnate Son of God, the Second Person of the Trininty. He was born of a
virgin, He lived a sinless life, He died on the cross as a substitute for His people,
He bodily rose from the dead on the third day, and He ascended into heaven.
- Jesus Christ is presently reigning in heaven and He will return again to judge the world and to
establish His kingdom.
- Salvation is by the sovereign grace of God alone, on the basis of the atoning sacrifice of Christ,
and wholly apart from human merit.
- God commands all men everywhere to repent and to believe the Gospel.
- The church is composed solely of repentant and believing sinners who confess Jesus Christ as
their Lord and Savior and submit to His rule and authority as set forth in the Scriptures.
- Christians have the solemn obligation to conduct themselves at all times in a manner worthy
of the Gospel they profess to believe.
As a Reformed Baptist congregation, the
1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith provides a more thorough
summary of our beliefs.
