Where Are Ron and Ellen?
Santa Catalina Monastery, Arequipa, Peru, November 2008
Monasterio de Santa Catalina, a convent founded in 1579, is a 20,0000 sq meter complex surrounded by high walls that is like a closed city within Arequipa. There is still a closed convent on the site (in a modern building), but the beautiful colonial convent is open to the public.
