Washing Clothes with Rainwater

When well water has too much iron, use rainwater instead!

Step 1 (assuming you've already collected the rainwater): Attach pump and hose to the tank.

Step 2: Run the hose and electric cord to the house.

Step 3: Run the hose into the house and down the hall to the laundry closet. Plug electric cord into outlet. Guard dog optional.

Step 4: Fill the wash, straining through an old sock to remove debris. Oh yes, pay attention and don't let the washer overflow! And when it gets really cold outside, expect a new dimension to "cold water wash"!
