For about $50 you'll get an interesting book and a crapload of utilities (plus the book in electronic form) on CD. You can download patches and updates to the RK from ftp.microsoft.com /bussys /winnt /winnt-public /reskit/.

The RK installs sets of utilites based on categories (like "Performance Tools"). However, using the Resource Kit Help file, you can determine which files each utility requires, and copy just those [few] files to your HDD (instead of installing a bunch of utilities you don't need). You can even install each utility from the Help file.

Located on the CD in Common\Docs (to which you can make shortcuts instead of installing them on your HDD)
